Valuation Calculation
A single agreed valuation methodology
Report of approximately 2-3 pages in length.
Most suitable for:
- strategic planning
- as a preparatory step towards a more detailed valuation (eg estate planning, succession planning, business restructuring).
Limited Scope Valuation
Based on one or more valuation methodologies
Involves a restricted review and analysis of the business and the industry in which it operates.
Report typically extends to 10 – 20 pages.
Most suitable for:
- planning a sale or acquisition of a business interest
- buy/sell agreements
- supporting applications for commercial financing of business acquisitions
Full Scope Valuation
Based on as many valuation methodologies as required.
Involves an in-depth analysis of the business, its industry and the economic environment in which it operates.
Report typically extends to 25 – 40 pages.
Most suitable for:
- business restructuring (where valuations may be reviewed by a third party, such as the Tax Office)
- Litigation support
- Family Law settlements
- Shareholder disputes
